Our passion for original posters runs deep — passed down through generations of our family, and carried forward today with the same conviction that a truly great poster is not simply decoration, but a work of art with a history worth preserving.
Over many years, we have been sourcing, curating, and restoring original posters from around the world, offering our collection both online and through our physical gallery in Montreal, Canada.
Les Ateliers Mourlot x NBMposter
We are proud to collaborate with the legendary Ateliers Mourlot — a name synonymous with the art of lithography for over 170 years. Founded in Paris in 1852, the Mourlot workshop became the most celebrated printmaking atelier of the 20th century, welcoming Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Chagall, Miró, Léger, and Giacometti — among many others — through its doors. In 1967, Jacques Mourlot brought the family legacy to New York City, where the studio on Bank Street continued to collaborate with a new generation of artists including Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein, Calder, and Alex Katz.
Today, the Mourlot name lives on through Galerie Mourlot and its third generation, Eric Mourlot. We are honored to operate in close collaboration with them under the name Les Ateliers Mourlot x NBMposter — a collaboration built on a shared devotion to original works and the art of the print. Some of our posters are carefully restored and linen backed in our Montreal atelier before being offered for sale.
Our Collection
Our collection is devoted almost exclusively to original French posters — lithographs, exhibition posters, and rare vintage works from France's most celebrated artists, printmakers, and illustrators. Our selection spans signed works by recognized masters, Mourlot lithographs, and a wide range of themes including travel, sports, aviation, automotive, food, and more. Every piece we offer is an original — never a reproduction. Each listing includes a detailed condition report, with full transparency on restoration and backing where applicable.
