Jean-Paul Riopelle
Jean-Paul Riopelle (1923–2002) is Quebec's most celebrated artist on the world stage — a towering figure of postwar abstraction whose work bridged the School of Paris and the North American avant-garde. His richly textured, gestural canvases earned him an international reputation that placed him alongside the greatest abstract painters of his generation. The original posters in this collection are rare works by an artist of exceptional importance to both French and Canadian art history.
