Fernand Leger
Fernand Léger (1881–1955) was one of the great architects of modern art — his bold, geometric vision of the industrial age translated with remarkable force into the medium of the poster. A key figure of the School of Paris and a close collaborator of the Mourlot atelier, Léger produced some of the most graphically powerful prints of the 20th century. The original posters in this collection are rare survivals of a defining moment in French modernism.
