This is an original poster created in 2024 by François Ravard for The Parisianer — the celebrated imaginary magazine that has united nearly two hundred artists over the past decade around a shared vision of Parisian life. Founded as a collective tribute to the great illustrated magazines of the 20th century, The Parisianer has become one of the most distinctive editorial art projects in contemporary France, exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay, the Hôtel de Ville de Paris, and beyond.
François Ravard (born 1981, Bayeux) is one of the most versatile and celebrated illustrators of his generation. Aquarelliste, author of over thirty graphic novels published by Futuropolis, Gallimard, Glénat and Casterman, he received a Special Jury Prize at the Festival d'Angoulême in 2012 and the Pépite Fiction Junior at the Festival de Montreuil in 2021. He contributes regularly to Libération, Le Nouvel Obs, and Fluide Glacial, and in 2020 succeeded the legendary Jacques Tardi as artist on the iconic Nestor Burma series — a transmission between two generations of sovereign draughtsmen.
His work for The Parisianer is among his most personal — intimate, luminous scenes of Parisian daily life rendered with the warm economy of line and colour that defines his aquarelle practice. Each contribution to the project functions as an imaginary magazine cover: a complete world in a single image.
Printed in large format and in excellent condition, this piece is ready for framing and for the wall it deserves.
A large-format collector's piece — François Ravard at his most Parisian, for the project that captured the city best.
